SFF in Conversation at The Book Smugglers
The Book Smugglers have been running a series called SFF in Conversation. Today they’re hosting my piece Visibility Matters, which talks about Invisible and is loosely based on the keynote speech I gave at the Pikes Peak Writers Conference.
Go forth and check it out!

Great essay!
BTW, have you heard about kwerey.com yet? (This isn’t spam, I swear — figured you might find it relevant.) It began a couple of months ago as the brain child of a lady who was learning programming and was also frustrated that the SF/F recommendations she got were so heavily dominated by male authors.
It’s the first SF/F database I know of that allows one to identify books as having female, PoC, and LGBT protagonists and also use those parameters in the search function.
Pretty nifty!

I hadn’t heard about that, but I’ll check it out, thanks!
