Cool Stuff Friday
Happy Friday, all! Have some cool stuff!
- 29 Cats That Forgot How To Cat. (Since people seemed to appreciate the last set of cat pics and gifs.)
- Polar bear playing with sled dogs. (Link from hilleviw.)
- 16-Year-Old Egyptian Scientist Finds Way to Turn Plastic Waste Into $78 Million of Biofuel.
- 50 people share the most intellectual jokes they know.
- 10-Year-Old Accidentally Creates New Molecule in Science Class.
- Finally, tonight I’ll be running my son’s very first D&D game. Behold, his character and brand new dice! (I’m jealous. His dice are SO MUCH COOLER than my first dice, which were pale blue, and I had to use a white crayon to fill in the numbers.)

Awesome links! I love that one about the Egyptian teen. What a great discovery – getting rid of waste while creating fuel.

I remember the white crayon! I think my sister still owns that set.

My first set of dice was this ugly frosted orange set that the D20 never stopped spinning. It has since been relegated to the “bad dice” bag or the cat toy box I can’t remember which.

You’re playing D&D with Legos? Swoon. (Men can swoon, can’t they?) That’s so cool…

Congrats to you and your son on his first game. I hope he has a great time!
And thank you for the cats! I needed that laugh.

His may be cooler than yours, but at least yours was readable by colourblinds 😉
Before I moved I used to play with a colourblind GM. The first session he DM´ed for us, 3 of us had our diceset banned 🙂

Thanks. I thought it needed a little something extra 🙂

The husband and I are wildly jealous, never having had minifigs back in our D&D days. Or cool dice. Heck, when I first played, all we had was multiple d6.
Sounds like the game was a success.

The kids all seemed to have fun. We were up until about 10:30, and they successfully rescued the duke’s son’s pet cat from the kobolds. All in all, I’m calling it a win 🙂
