Mooning my Readers AgainI wish I was the kind of person who was willing to get up at 5:30 in the morning in order to set up the telescope and try to see Orion’s Nebula. In the past week, there were several mornings that the sky was incredibly clear, and Orion was right there throwing ancient gang signs at me … and I was just too darn sleepy to do anything about it. But I did haul the telescope out a few days ago to do some moon-watching with my son. I snapped a few pics as well, and this one of Tycho Crater was the best of the bunch. Click for a larger view, or check out the Moon set over on Flickr. And that’s all I’ve got for now, because I’m going to try to spend the rest of the afternoon making some progress on the book. Wish me luck! 6 comments to Mooning my Readers Again |

GOOD LUCK!
Great shots – especially the one with the cloud.
Do you have an adapter for the telescope, or are you simply hand-holding the iPhone and Pentax up to the eyepiece?
Thanks! I’ve got this mount for the digital camera. It’s not the fanciest thing out there, but it seems to work.
Asking for people to wish you luck, but not specifying whether it´s good or ill, is dangerous
Good Luck
Just a few months and you can gaze upon Orion all you please, in the evening.
